"Mrs. Eugenia Maxwell - Morrilton - Funeral for Mrs. Eugenia Frances Maxwell, 64, of Lanty (Conway County), was today in the Lanty Methodist Church. Burial was in Lanty Cemetery by Reid-Harris Funeral Home. She was a Methodist. Survivors include her husband, Luther Maxwell; a daughter, Mrs. Louis Halbrook of Cleveland (Conway County); a brother, Joh H. Houstin of Hattiesville; two sisters, Mrs. W. B. Duncan of Springfield and Mrs. H. M. Cheek of Little Rock; sis grandchildresn and a great-grandchild." ...... "Death Comes To Mrs. E. F. Maxwell - Mrs. Eugenia Frances Maxwell, 64, of Solgohachia, died at Morrilton hospital Wednesday, August 7. She was born at Hattieville, May 21, 1899, a daughter of the late John Hawkins Houston and Josephine Conley Houston. She was member of the Lanty Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Luther A. Maxwell of Solgohachia; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Halbrook of Cleveland; a brother, John H. Houston of Hattieville; two sisters, Mrs. W. B. Duncan of Springfield, and Mrs. H.M. Cheek of Little Rock; 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held (rest of article missing from the clipping).".1 Her body was interred at Lanty Cemetery, Lanty, Conway County, Arkansas, at Lanty Cemetery.

      Joseph Lidel Kirby1 (M)

           Joseph was born on 29 August 1815 at East Tennesse.2 He was the son of Clinton Kirby and Mariah P. Trice. He married Susan C. Trice at Jackson County, Alabama, on 24 August 1837. Joseph died on 29 February 1856 at in Arkansas, at age 40.2 His body was interred at Hogan Cemetery, north of Hunt, Johnson County, Arkansas, at Hogan Cemetery. Hogan Cemetery is located 3.5 miles north of Hunt, Johnson Co., Arkansas on Highway 164. GPS coordinates: 35*33.28N, 93*36.79W. The gate on the highway says "Hogan Cemetery 1876". The cemetery itself is up on a hill a couple of hundred yards off the highway. It is a nice quiet place in the country. The Kirby plot is towards the back of the cemetery and has an iron fence around it. Inside this fence is another iron fence which surrounds the graves of Joseph L. and Susan C. Kirby. This fence has "J. L. Kirby" wrought into the gate. - Thomas R. Morrow Jr.. September 31, 1999..2
